The Burning Heads came over from France in July '99 to record their "Escape" album for Epitaph Europe. The top photo was taken by singer Pierre using the "long-arm" method while we were walking to the store. Next is bassist J.B., and drummer Thomas is shown with my '67 Ludwig kit in the main room at Ironwood Studio. Singer/guitarist Pierre appears to have gotten away with something, and guitarist Phil is shown at their show at the Breakroom (opening for the RC5). While we were mixing at Hanzsek Audio, I heard a hammering and pounding outside. The guys got bored and pieced together a skate ramp in back of the studio using scrap lumber, rusty nails and big rocks as hammers! Crazy French punk rockers!
